While most will focus on the quality of the products (which is definitely important and one of the topics I discussed during my Youtube Live “What every Beauty Beginner Needs to Know about Makeup“)… I’d say that how you apply those products is equally, if not more important! Check out this short clip!
The truth is most of us have watched the tutorials, bought all the products and still something just isn’t quite right. Perhaps the issue isn’t the products, but rather the technique. As you can see a face on which the products are Balanced & Blended, is a face that is often deemed “flawless”. And while I am not here to empower you to achieve a flawless face… we all have imperfection and are learning daily… I will use my time to help you achieve your best makeup for your face! So let’s dive a tad deeper.

1 You want your makeup to be “Balanced“:
In the clip above, I mentioned that you want to keep your products balanced on your face, in that you want to use the same amount on either side. I also know it is important to note that less is more. I love using products that allow for buildable coverage, like the e.l.f Camo concealer in today’s clip. We all have seen that one sis, who used too much product which tends to look cakey, over done, and heavy. (I’m speaking from experience, because before I mastered my own face I was “sis”). So take my advice, start with less and build from there.

2 You want your makeup to be “Blended”
At this point makeup routines come a dime a dozen. Just hop on to YouTube, or TikTok and you’ll find millions of tutorials. Literally, there are so many new trends, hacks, and techniques. One thing that remains true through it all, is that no matter what you do, or what products you use… the goal is for your makeup to blend together as seamlessly as possible. Seeing lines of separation or demarkation is never in style, so you want to be sure that your blend game is on point.
The tools and techniques you use can make or break your look. But you must figure out what works best for your face and routine.
For example, I know a lot of girlies love using their beauty blenders for their under eye concealer. It has become a staple in the beauty community, as it allows for smooth and seamless application and blending. It really does work beautifully, So of course I gave it a try. And it just didn’t worked for my routine.
For my routine I use the RT 242 Brush for my concealer (seen in the clip)
And I love using my RT Dual Blending Puff with my fave loose powder to set my face (check out this post for more on the setting powder).
Different tools, same goal… BLENDED!
I hope you found today’s tips helpful. Excited for my upcoming post where I’ll be detailing what actually in my beauty bag… along with a detailed review of my makeup routine… start-to-finish!
Cant wait!
