How to Revive Your Silk Press WITHOUT using Heat + A Mini Hair Rant

Our Trip to the Zoo was amazing, but that humidity did a real number on this hair, okay! Thankfully, I had a hat to help mitigate some of the frizzing (you’ll see in the video below).

I know I’m not the only one who has had this type of experience with the weather.  So I didn’t want to gatekeeper, and knew I just had to share how I was able to REVIVE my silk press… WITHOUT USING HEAT! No, seriously! Just watch for yourself!

The star of the video, these little black clips!  If you have short to shoulder length hair, and wear a silk press… I know these will work for you! I talk more about these clips and other products that EVERY Black Girl Needs… in this post here.

A Mini Hair Rant… Encouraging for sure!

I know how easy it is to go running to the curling iron, flat iron or even hot comb, when your hair starts to frizz up.  But I’ve come to set you free.  Sis, you really don’t need to flat iron your hair EVERYDAY. Especially when you have a good foundation. (healthy hair and ends).

This is why I preach seeing a professional, even if just for a consult and for your trims. As a homemaker/homeschool mom of little people, that is what I can commit to in this season. I wish I had the time to drive up to see my girl every month, but my life just isn’t set up that way.  So I see my girl once a quarter for maintenance and trims. And in between I”m in her ear for my consults… (and I do what she tells me to do).

Listen, I’m not gonna sit here and set y’all up… my hair is thriving because I partner with a professional. Yes, I do know how to do hair, I also know there are many things I had to learn when it came to maintaining the health and wholeness of my hair. And I’m so grateful for a stylist I can trust. We been at this thing for over a decade!

So partner with a trusted and loving professional, book your consult, trim those dead ends and watch your hair thrive! -End Rant
