Okay, so I mentioned these bomb faux locs in yesterday’s post, but I loved them so much I just had to give them their own post! So let’s get right into it!
I loved everything about them!
Install Method:
I installed using the individual crochet method. My hair is braided into 40ish individuals and I used a traditional crochet braids latch hook to crochet (pull) each braid into its own loc.
Specs:
These are 1000% Mom life approved and the Texture & volume are *chef’s kiss* they have all the beauty of a “Nu loc” with and loose wave curl at the end! There is a bit of shedding but it’s minimal.
Maintenance:
no need for product. Finger detangle as needed and tie it up at night. You will get small knots of hair along the locs, simply use a pairs of scissors to cut away. I don’t recommend pulling the knotted pieces as this may ruin the integrity of the faux loc. always trim with scissors.
I’ve tried a lot of hair and I have to say, I don’t think I will ever buy any other brand! These are giving!!!
Lightning Tutorial:
A lightning tutorial is a slay that I’m able to share in a video that is no longer than 5 minutes! Get into it, because I know how mom life is and we need things delivered to us with a quickness!
Alright, so after wearing this faux locs install for about 4 weeks, it was time to give my natural hair some TLC. So I took it out and got my hair together. I’ve been into wigs lately (more on that later this week), and the wig I wore after taking down this install required some leave out. Well the rain and humidity were not working in my favor. So I had to get super creative on what to do with my hair since my leave out didn’t match my other wigs 😭 and I had a whole day planned and not much time to get out the door! So I created the look in this tutorial below!
And I must say…. I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT!!! Under 15 minutes, and my hair was ready!!!
Wasn’t that bomb! And what I love is that you can do this with any crochet individuals (box braids, twists, faux locs) and your head wrap of choice! You must give it a try!!! Be sure to let me know in the comments if your try it!
Get the Look! Purchase the locs and don’t forget to grab the silk head band here. Ooooh, and I know you love my top! It’s actually a pocket shirt dress… it’s perfect! you can buy it here! And you know the look isn’t complete without this leopard print infinity scarf, that I tied into a head wrap!
We have so much more in store for you this week. Be sure that you are subscribed so that you’re notified when when new content hits the blog this week. And as always… share with a momma who needs this!
